Get prepared for the California QSO Party coming up this weekend
http://www.cqp.org
===================================================
0300Z Oct 4 -- 'twas the night before CQP (half-hour practice)
===================================================
Help all our California "county expeditions" in remote and rare CA counties test
their antennas and transceivers.
Plus check out your own station hardware and software before the CQP contest.
CW and SSB both, using the CQP recommended frequencies on 20m, 40m, 80m and
160m.
CW on 1805 and 40 kHz up from band edge. SSB on 1845, 3850, 7230, and 14250
kHz.
Work stations using the standard CQP exchange during this practice.
TIME: 0300-0330Z Oct 4 (2000-2030 Oct 3 Pacific Daylight Savings Time)
MODE: CW and SSB
PLAN: Start the practice on 20m CW/SSB, then move rapidly down to lower bands.
The primary object is to help our CA county expeditions so if you're doing great
on 20m after 10 minutes, resist the temptation to stay; move to 40m, then to 80m
and finally 160m for 5 minutes if you are able.
===================================================
3853 net after the practice
===================================================
TIME: 0330Z Oct 4 (2030 Oct 3 Pacific Daylight Savings Time)
SSB: 3853 kHz
PLAN: Discuss your practice results. Give and receive feedback from other
stations about signal reports, audio quality, choppy CW, RFI, and other helpful
hints.
