While I cannot say I have success as a contester, having never won anything,
the addition of an amp and better radio and antenna have increased my
enjoyment to the point where I am able to stay in the chair longer. Pre-QRO
I was getting pushed around by bigger stations and missed by S&Pers so my
tolerance level hit it's limit early. Now I find I can keep a frequency and
attract more business for longer periods, thereby increasing my scores. That
makes it way more enjoyable.
I'm still waiting for success :)
