I do not need to remind most of you that the ARRL 10M contest is this weekend.
Everyone works everyone. US states, Canada and Mexico send signal report plus
state or province abbreviation, everyone else sends signal report plus serial
number. Maximum of 36 hour operating time. Will conditions be as good as they
were in 2014 or 2002? Only way to find out is make time for radio this weekend.
For those interested in refreshing your memory of the 2023 contest, you might
look at the extended results article which you can find by going to the ARRL
contest page at contests.arrl.org, then clicking on the 10M tab, and then on
the Articles Line Scores tab. Yes that is some shameless self promotion.
The ARRL is now printing slightly longer results articles in QST, with more
text and more photos. Plus of course the extended results article will be
available again, with all the results and a more expanded write-up of what the
contest was like, sometime in May. To help make those write-ups interesting, we
need you to send comments and photos.
In order to help me write up the results from this year, please consider
leaving some extended comments about your experience in the contest, either in
3830, or better yet, in the official soapbox. The soapbox can be filled in
afterwards, by using the link in the email you get for confirmation of your log
submission. You can submit those comments in the weeks after the contest.
And please send photos. Those must also be submitted via the soapbox link you
will find in the email confirming your log submission.
