Haven't seen one of those quads in eons, but it was a
decent antenna, definitely solid...
I built the one in the handbook and it still works
well. It's taken a real beating physically. I bought
the fiberglass from Max-Gain
http://www.mgs4u.com/fiberglass-tube-rod.htm and found
some spreaders on ebay, had the boom material on hand
as well as the wire and caps. So it was pretty cheap
to HB.
Hope you get something back in the air soon, although
I'm hoping to see more of you on 160 hihi.
