A big advantage of the older Bose headsets (QC-15 in particular) is replaceable
batteries. The newer headsets have built-in rechargeable batteries and, IIRC,
none have a battery life of even close to 48 hours.
If you want to use them on SSB, the AntLion/ModMic microphone add-ons work
well. :-)
