Hi Steve,
I just wanted to suggest that you add one (1) HF station to your group
and go 2A. It's a great class and throughout the FD period there's
almost always two (20 or more bands to chose from.
One station can use 10/20/80 and the other use 15/40/160. Either
station can use CW or Phone as the operator wishes. The Novice station
should be CW only and allowed to switch off to it's best band. IF you
give the Novices a microphone they'll sit on 10 SSB even when the band
is dead and man the stations with Technicians (Not Tech-Plus types)
which violates the rules by my interpretation (if no control operator is
watching the power/freq and proceedures.)
A small group can run a good 2A. If the group gets too small (1 or 2
operators) run 1B or 2B.
