Hello,
for those interested in the activity time of contesters here another
count through the times given by Russian DX Contest based on the claimed
scores list for the 2006 event.

There were 936 non-russian single-op entrants in the allband categories
of this 24-hour-contest (about 150 more than 2005). For 892 of them
times were available.

Of those were active
20-24 h 11,3% (13,7% in 2005)
16-20 h 8,3% (9,9%)
12-16 h 13,5% (14,1%)
8-12 h 18,8% (22,4%)
4-8 h 25,3% (22,1%)
0-4 h 22,8% (17,7%)

53 or 5,9% worked between 23 and 24 hours (7,4% in 2005).

66,9% operated less than halftime (62,2% in the previous year). With a
total of about 8735 operation-hours the average operation time was 9,8
hours per logsending allband-operator. In 2005 it was 10,8 hours. The
bad 40m-condx may have been one reason for.
