My wife, formerly a corporate meeting planner, says that hotels 
generally feel fortunate simply to break even on housing people, and 
make their money from their catering activities.  That's what was in the 
back of my mind when I suggested that the "headquarters hotel" might go 
elsewhere unless they saw the light.  But let's wait and see - some 
competent people are working the problem.
