Explain what is wrong with a remote multi multi. How would this affect
you our your pleasure in any way shape or form? You would not even
know. Why do you care where the operator is physically located?

Isn't the goal to work as many people and mults as possible?

If remote operations allows more people to get on what exactly is the
problem again? They are still using ham radios to communicate. Their
speaker wires happen to be copper or fiber or whatever.
