I recently got one of these keyboards: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2J21ZT4146 It is NOT compact and it is very similar to an IBM model M. All the keys are full size with good travel and feel. No "chiclet" type keys. At $14.99 shipped, it is a bargain. If they ever come out with a wireless version, I'll get that one, this is a touch-typist's keyboard.
