Before I give you my results, let me quality
something. I have what is undoubtly one of the top 5
worst 160 meter antennas in the world. My "worst 160m
antenna" is a homebrew G5RV type dipole. It is
probably 105 to 110 feet long, fed in the center with
20 or so feet of 300 ohm radio shack twin lead, which
goes to a 4:1 balun, and then a run of 75 ohm RG11
coax to the shack. The center is about 25 or 30 feet
high, with one leg sloping down to 9 feet high at the
end, and the other end running down to 20 feet or so
at the end.

I am sure if someone computer modeled this antenna it
would bring tears to their eyes for 160m performance
(anyone want to take the challenge?). It seems to
have some sort of null straight west on 160 as I find
W6 very difficult to work, but OR, WA, and AZ are not
near as difficult.

Conditions were very nice on Friday night, with a very
quiet band, and decent signals from W2 and W1 land,
which I generally don't hear much on 160m. Saturday
night wasn't as good, but was still above average from
what I usually experience.

Here are my totals:
105 QSOs
46 mults
9798 total points

That is my best 160m score from Oklahoma, although I
did beat it at least once when I was in High School in
Iowa.

I did work 4 new states: NY, NV, ME, and CT. I also
worked Mass which I still need a QSL from, and I can't
find the contest log for when I worked W1QA a few
years ago, so that was as good as a new state. I think
I now have 43 or 44 states worked on 160. Also worked
PJ2T and 4 provinces in Canada: AB, SK, ON, and PEI.

Overall I had a lot of fun. I wish I could have
operated more, but I was busy both evenings in the
early part of the night, and last night I figured it
wasn't work risking TVI when OU was playing in the Big
12 championship game on TV. I can't stay up as late
as I used to be able to either-especially when you
know you are going to have to entertain a 4 year old
the next day.
