Subscribe to the NCJ (National Contest Journal) and try and find back issues.
Check the various big contest club websites, many have basic resources
available to the contesting community at large (one example):
http://www.yccc.org/Scuttlebutt/index.htm
Do a web search for contest presentations from the Dayton Hamfest, many can be
found online.
I don't think there is a contest handbook, but hey that's not a bad idea.
Can't help you with SSB, my knowledge of contesting in that mode is somewhat
antiquated ;o)
