I have a G-800DX (or something like that). I replaced the burned out 
bulbs with BRIGHT-BLUE LEDs...

They have a bit more of a 'bright spot', then do the incandescents, 
but they work nicely anyway. Were I to do it again, I'd use BRIGHT 
WHITE instead of blue though. The blue LEDs look 'kewl' but a bit 
more light would be better than the cool blue.

With a bit of effort, I think one could probably fit two LEDs into 
each existing incandescent spot, and turn them a bit, for better coverage.

Of course, an appropriate current limiting resistor is required... 
and you don't need to nearly run them a full brilliance... 5-10mA 
seems to be more than adequate.
