I have noticed the questions concerning MM stations in the CQWW.
Here is the answer:
MM stations have no country value.
MM have zone value.
MM are QSO's and the point rule applies.
The reason that MM are not mentioned under rule VI. is that they
are not special.
It is that simple.
If you will notice MM scores are listed in the results. They always
have been. If the MM station can count you for points then the
opposite applies.

How to get sections in SS?
The overwhelming consensus among those responding to my query is to call
CQ.
Search and pounce with the second radio but NEVER stop calling CQ. ALL
24 hours. NEVER stop.
I already knew that, but its not very satisfying--there's not enough room
on the bands for everybody to call cq, at least on phone weekends, and
it's the root cause of the lids that blast away without even a ..--.. when
I'm straining to copy that Q station in WWA, or where-ever. The calls
that I hear from stations who clearly have listened less than 10 seconds
on the frequency before CQ have no respect from me (but they beat me
in the listings nevertheless). Oh well. I'm encouraged by the fact that
I've never been blasted off a freq by any of the really classy winners.
They seem to be able to do it without being rude.
