I am appalled at all the people on this reflector posting frivolous messages
in a humorous tone. Don't you people know this is only meant for serious
radio postings about our , um , er hobby (oh yeah)...

NEVER MIND

and have a nice day...

And if you're a "Plugger", from the syndicated cartoon of the same name,
you call them unaffordable.

The French word for "crank-up tower" is guillotine.

Someone once joked that the 'babelist' would someday be used a wedding
invite list. Well, with all the silly reflector traffic these days, I
figure it can't hurt to see if any of you might be in central wisconsin
during mid-August and would want to attend my wedding! So, here goes...

You are cordially invited to attend
the wedding of
Laurie Mashak and Scott Neader
on August 19th, 1995.

The wedding ceremony will be held
at 2:30 p.m. at
St. Elizabeth's Church
704 Hillcrest Avenue
Holmen, Wisconsin

The reception will be held at
Banquet's On The Square
Holmen Square - Hwy 35
Holmen, Wisconsin
Reception at 5:00 p.m.
Dinner at 6:00 p.m.
Dance at 8:00 p.m.

If you will be able to join us for dinner, please R.S.V.P. on or before
Monday, August 7th by e-mail to sneader@mail.ctenet.com. Also write if you
need detailed directions to the church or reception hall.

Hams in the wedding: Mike N0BSH & Chad WE9V.
Also attending: Paul WX9E, Paul KS9K, and possibly Paul W0AIH

If you've never seen Laurie, there's a picture of her on my web site (see
my signature for the URL).

73!

Don't forget the NAQP cw contest this weekend.

It seems to me that there has been an unusually high amount of
tropo/sporadic E propagation on 10 and 15 this summer. There are
also some large storm systems floating around right now.

I suggest that everyone try the 10 meter frequencies on the hour,
and the 15 meter frequencies on the half hour throughout the
_entire_ contest, except for the 160m slots at 0430Z and 0530Z.

Remember, the mults count on each band, and these tropo openings
may be the only chance on 10 and 15.

See you in the CONTEST.
