become more pragmatic. We did not used to time budget ham radio. Today, it is
just one of many activities on our plates and QSLing has fallen off the
priority list. Although the quality of the cards may be better than 30 years
ago, the content and meaning has lost its traditonal value. I answered a card
over the weekend that had a long, handwritten note from the operator. I'd
almost forgotten that we used to routinely send notes with the cards.
