Ron, this is only for the WRTC competitors, not everyone.

For the WRTC folks it is beyond simply being "fun." It is serious
competition. For most everyone else it is more than just "fun" and
that's not going to change. And the reason as stated by Doug is a
level playing field to discourage cheerleading.

Now, I do think that Doug's suggestion may be impractical.
