There are two game categories: finite and infinite. Contests are finite and
dxcc is infinite. Luckily ham radio's infinite games are not flow addicting
so they don't destroy your life.

It is also interesting that on many on-line games in-game loot gets sold for
real-world moolah on ebay or even real-time foreign currency markets as with
Second Life. Do that with ham radio and the fcc can pull your license; it is
illegal to make money from your transmissions.

Psychologists have discovered two things that relieve depression:

1) extreme sleep deprivation
2) goal oriented work that involves your hands and brain in the steady
advancement toward the completion of something you can visualize.
