I would like to submit an RIT to Tree's request for QNZ.

When things were good last weekend I would be hearing more than one station
[10? 15?] responding to my CQ. That was great and most likely because I was
operating in Idaho rather than because I had a fantastic signal going out.

Most of the folks calling me in those bunches were QNZ -- almost down to the
exact same HZ. My ears are just not good enough to separate five modest to
weak stations all calling me at the same time on the same frequency. Even
when I was a lot younger I found during the 'great whistle contest'
conducted on the bus from SF to Visalia <or Fresno> that having everyone
using the same type [and pitch] of whistle sending their new assigned call
[handed out when you got on the bus]it was really tough to make a solid QSO.
Last weekend on 160 was only slightly better.

Whenever someone was clever enough to separate themselves by 20 to 40 HZ
from the "mob" they got worked immediately.

Tree, maybe the Q signal should be QNZA for "zero beat my signal - almost".
