Several reasons:
1. You can't copy well enough to know that they aren't calling you
2. Related to #1, maybe if you call enough you will end up in the on-line
log anyways
3. Unfortunately sometimes the DX will come back to the constant caller for
some reason, so it sometimes works.
4. The caller is just a lid
