My opinion is that the use of this during the contest to be would
constitute assistance. I do the same as you before the contest and during
contests while running assisted. During a non-assisted category I will not
view any form of RBN or traditional spotting data, including those limited
to only my call sign.
My hopefully correct interpretation of the rules is really going to be
rough when I operate non-assisted and my own personal skimmer is helping
out all those assisted/multi-op hams while I cannot look at it one bit.
