Yuri - So you think UB7K is a Ukrainian call sign according to ITU allocation?
Double check that before you make statements about people displaying their
ignorance.

This should not have anything to do with who lost lives, the United Nations,
world politics or what your personal opinion is of Vladimir Putin.

Andy has a Russian Passport, Andy has a valid license issued by Russia to
operate his station. Whether you personally like it or not, he considers
himself to be Russian, lives in a location that is governed by Russia and has a
Russian call sign.

What's the problem as it relates to a radio contest? Could it be that CQ is
not wanting the multiplier to count as Russia instead of Ukraine? CQ is so
stringent on adherence to the rules that they don't want a Russian call sign to
operate from a region they subjectively still want to be Ukraine? Give me a
break! Start out by stripping the results from operations that are known to
have been running more than the legal limit of the country or 1500w, whichever
is less. What is the long term goal other than ruining the life long passion
for radio sport for several enthusiasts? Do they believe they are going to
have any influence on world politics or country boundaries by this action?

He should not be deprived of the enjoyment of operating in the CQ WW Contest.

Displaying my total ignorance by agreeing with everything Hans had to say on
this subject...
