After much frustation in getting the noise out of my MFJ when keyed from
the computer, I tried my other MFJ and it behaved much better. There are
(at least) two versions out there - the old style does not have a TR relay
and is silent, the new one uses a relay and one can hear the click as the
unit is keyed. The "old" unit would easily hang the radio (FT1000mp)in
the transmit mode and you'd have to reset the MFJ by powering down. The
new one doesn't have this problem.
