Igor - Thanks for you reply:

"When I hear in the contest someone signing /QRP I first reply with his
call
without /QRP. If then he insists by repeating /QRP I give my call /QRO
and
insist on his repeating my call sign with /QRO. I hope I make it clear
for
the other side of QSO that his /QRP has nothing to do with the call sign
proper.'

While I see that your way is effective and has been effective, to me it
seems to defeat the point most are trying to get across; that is
appending /QRP to one's call is superfluous, not necessary, and wastes
time in both sending and receiving the exchange, presumably costing the
sender and others several QSOs over the length of a contest.

Your training technique wastes time as well. Perhaps a QSO or two worth
over the length of a contest? I still think a friendly reminder is the
best way, particularly if we are to interest them in further
contesting. - Duffey
