I just purchased an Icom 761 transceiver and am having a little
trouble with the audio from my Hiel HC 5 element. I put a .01 mfd
capacitor in series with the hot side of the mike and it now gives
enough audio to drive the rig but I am getting reports of the audio
being very constricded.
What is the correct value of the capacitor and is this a common
problem with this set up? I just switched from Kenwood gear so I am a
little in the dark.
