Just wondering what kind of noise levels are considered 'normal' when using
a bi-directional amplifier. I am running between 35% and 45%. This seems high to me, but the system was already installed when I acquired it and I do not have anything else using an amplifier. The system is from speedlan. It is a rack mount unit with two 30mw orinico cards. Only one card is in use and that feeds 100ft of lmr600 into speedlan amp. I think this is the fixed 500mw amp from hyperlink. The other card is in the box, but is not used. I know I should remove 2nd card, but just have not gotten around to doing so yet. Thanks.
