I was setting up a 10 mile link this week and tonight I was trying to make it work. Antenna alignment has been difficult because of the heavy humidity and low visibility... so my link is marginal. Using the Karlnet link test utility I found the following on the remote end of this link: Orinoco Silver card: No connection 100mw Tony card: 1db SNR 200mw Mikrotik card: 20db SNR The difference between the 100mw and 200mw cards should be 3db. I can not explain my results. All other variables were the same. Bill Fisher |
