I used NA for the first time in the January NA QSO Party, so am learning.

It appeared that when the contest loaded up for the NAQSOP, the
country files were loaded. However, I had several DX stations call me
during the contest, and when I tried to log them, NA would not let me. I
realize that the NAQSOP is primarily for North American contacts, but still
DX contacts count for QSO points. Of course they must be logged for
credit. It seems that if the Country files were loaded, they must be there
for some reason for this contest.

I finally got some on-air advice from another NA user, who told me to
enter "DX" in the QTH block. When I did this, the QSO was logged.

Is this the way it is supposed to work? Why are the Country files loaded
for this contest if they are not used?

Thanks
