Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Jan 08 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low with a spotless disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels on 08-10 Jan.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels levels on 08-10 Jan. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels on 08-10 Jan.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters indicated waning influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Total magnetic field strength averaged around 5 nT. Solar wind speeds steadily declined from a peak of 510 km/s to nearly 420 km/s by the periods end. Phi angle was predominately oriented in the negative sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be at background levels on 08-10 Jan.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field will trend towards mostly quiet levels over the next three days (08-10 Jan) as influence from the CH HSS transitions to an ambient solar wind environment.
