Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Jan 08 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 08-10 Jan.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: Both the greater than 2 MeV electron flux and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux were below event thresholds throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels, and the the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels during the forecast period (08-10 Jan).

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the ACE spacecraft, reflected a return to mostly ambient conditions. Total field strength averaged near 4 nT while the Bz component saw a maximum southward deflection to -3 nT. Solar wind speeds decreased from near 440 km/s to end the period near 380 km/s. Phi angle was primarily negative.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are likely to continue near background levels for the fist part of 08 Jan. By mid to late day on 08 Jan, weak enhancements are possible as another negative polarity CH HSS moves into a geoeffective position, continuing through 09 and 10 Jan.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at mostly quiet levels throughout the period.

Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 08-10 Jan due to the anticipated onset of another negative polarity CH HSS.
