Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Apr 18 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels on 18-20 Apr.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 18-20 Apr. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters remained at nominal levels. Solar wind speed varied from a low of 294 km/s to a high of 354 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-6 nT while the Bz component varied between +2 nT to -5 nT. Phi was oriented in a predominantly negative solar sector with some intermittent positive orientation.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to continue at nominal levels on 18-19 Apr. An enhancement in solar wind parameters is expected on 20 Apr as a negative polarity, southern crown CH extension is expected to move into a geoeffective position. Solar wind speed is expected to be mostly in the 400-500 km/s ranged based on recurrent values.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: Mostly quiet conditions are expected for the remainder of 18 Apr through 19 Apr. An increase to unsettled to active levels is expected on 20 Apr with the arrival of a negative polarity CH HSS.
