Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 May 02 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk was spotless. A B2 flare at 01/1436 UTC was observed from the plage over old Region 2762 (N23, L=338). No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels on 02-04 May.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 02-04 May. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected near-background conditions. Total magnetic field strength was between 3-6 nT. No significant periods of southward Bz were observed. Solar wind speeds were mostly between 275-350 km/s. Phi angle was variable.
Forecast: The solar wind environment is likely to remain near nominal levels over 02 May. Potential transient influence is possible on 03 May and continuing into 04 May from the 27 Apr CME.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: Mostly quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected on 02 May. Isolated unsettled conditions are likely on 03-04 May due to possible transient influence.
