Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Aug 15 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity reached low levels today with an isolated C2/Sf flare at 15/0647 UTC from plage Region 2770 (N26W78). Material could be seen ejected off the NW quadrant in SUVI 304 Imagery beginning at 15/0643 UTC. Modelling of any potential CMEs will be performed as imagery becomes available.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels on 15-17 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach moderate levels 15-17 Aug and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at nominal levels with solar wind speed ranging from 291-313 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-4 nT while the Bz component was between +/-4 nT. Phi angle was variable through the period.

Forecast: Nominal conditions are likely to persist from 15-17 Aug. A slight chance exists for influence from the northern crown CH HSS over 15-17 Aug.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Quiet conditions are expected to persist on 15-17 Aug.
