Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Oct 24 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2886 (S19W15, Hsx/alpha) was quiet and unchanged. Region 2887 (S24E37, Dki/beta) produced multiple B-class flares and exhibited minor development this period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels over 24-26 Oct, with a chance for C-class activity and a slight chance for R1-R2 (Minor-Moderate) flare activity due to the flare potential from Region 2887.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels over 24-26 Oct and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at background levels. Solar wind speed values ranged between 335-385 km/s, total field strength varied between 2-6 nT, and Bz briefly reached -5 nT late in the period.
Forecast: Background solar wind conditions are expected to prevail over 24-26 Oct.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: Quiet conditions are expected to prevail over 24-26 Oct.
