Peter,

I never got around to actually monitoring exactly what was going on, but
during a recent power outage I found the clock would set very easily. Since
then I have found that the three computer video monitors need to be turned off
and the TV unplugged in order for the clock to set on its own. Any one of
these devices left on and the clock won't set.

I have not tried ferrites of any kind on the cords.
