Not specifically an RFI question, perhaps, but the efficacy of grounds may affect RFI susceptibility.

While browsing around the hardware store, I came across 5ft lengths of copper-plated steel strip intended for hanging copper water pipes from joists, etc. Given that RF tends to flow on the surface of the conductor, how do people think this would work for RF grounding purposes, e.g., for connection between the rig and the ground bus? It's much cheaper and more readily available than copper braid.
