Not to far fetched.
Mankato State University, Mankato, Minnesota has placed Televisions and
Computers on recumbent exercise bicycles for students.
They found that students were more willing to exercise with those devices added.
There is a ham repeater on 147.240 at the campus of the university, so why not
a mobile or HT, mounted on a bicycle, HI.

Ummm... how about using mains power instead of
generating the juice yourself??
Just kidding....but now that you mention the idea,
I'm wondering if I can mount my 706mkII on my treadmill.
What a concept!
Seriously, we have a Nordic Track treadmill, and had it in
the room adjacent to the ham shack in VT. Never heard any
noise. HOWEVER, we put an anti-stat mat under it, after the
sales guy said there was a fair chance of ESD buildup when
used over carpet.
Is the noise characteristic like ESD, or motor brushes?
