Well do I need to say more? Yes. I have put on two torroids on the VCR -
one on the coax and one on the power cord and one on the coax from the
VCR to the TV, at the TV end of the coax. And the answer is .......
Do not use the radio when the VCR is in use!!!!! In other words nothing has
changed.
About the pin 1 issue. This VCR and TV only have a 2 wire cord, so no
ground. I remember reading some thing about two wire cords in Jim Browns
60 pages about RFI. I will go back and re-read it. I have checked the cable
coax and all is good. But I did notice and remember that after our two kids
moved out and got married, the coax that was going to their TVs is not
terminated. I will but the propper items and terminate them .
The question did come up, on what band causes the problem? On 80m
(inverted V) with about 350 watts, is blaring and lines over the picture. On
40m (inverted V) with about it 300 watts, it is there about 1/2 as bad as on
80 meter. On 20m (A3S) 300 watts, no problem with sound and very little on
the lines on the picture.
The torroids I bought from Palomar were the T-200 model 120. This is their
mix 2, which is for .25 to 10 MHz.
Thank you all for the support.
Rod
