Harbor Freight has a goose neck LED light that clamps on the desk. It is battery powered with a push-button on the base. It does an excellent job of getting light into the specific work area and is otherwise low-profile. I plan to modify it to accept an external source of power, probably DC stepped-down from one of the big 12VDC shack battery supplies. If anyone knows of USA-made LED lights please send the link. > A "track light" made from a number of the 3W white LED flashlights > running from a wall wart would be more than enough for an operating > light, but would probably not work well as a trouble light for > repairing a radio. > > --John W0UN > -- Thanks! & 73, doc, KD4E FS/Swap/Wanted: http://kd4e.com/swapn.html Free OS : http://www.PuppyLinux.com Personal: http://kd4e.com |_|___|_| | | & | | /\ {| / \ {| / \ {| / @ \ {| | |~_|~~~~| | -| | | ============\ # KD4E Have an http://ultrafidian.com day! _______________________________________________ RFI mailing list RFI@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/rfi |
