Would this be a good general-purpose line filter?

I take it that 250vac is a max rating & it's fine at 120vac?

Based on the wire with which it's wound may it still only
handle 1a of current at 120vac or might it be good to 1.5 or 2a?

It may fit inside the casing of a surplus commercial AC
power strip I have - which would be handy.
