It can also be pointed out that BPL and other digital rubbish such as IBOC 
and DRM could effectively jam  interception of unwelcomed news, information 
and political opinion,  much more effectively than the old Soviet jammers 
that used to populate the SW broadcast bands could ever have hoped.
