Seems something went astray with the old splitter.
And it may be connector related. The modem measures
signal & returns data to the cable ISP, which is how
I measured things. 3dB for the split, plus .5dB for
insertion, @ the 1GHz return channel was what they reported.
We played with it a bit, and suddenly had -13dB on the
back channel. I changed out the splitter, and things got
considerably better. Am in process of changing them ALL out,
so I know what I have.
