I've posted earlier on the Enphase inverters. Both my next door neighbor
and I have Enphase systems, and I've detected no RFI from them. I did
take the precaution of putting single-turn ferrite chokes on the leads,
but that probably didn't help much at HF. I do live in the city, with a
fairly high noise level, so I can't say for sure that no RFI could be
detected in a quiet location.
By all means avoid Generac.

I have a 7kW solar system with Enphase IQ6 microinverters (I think the
current model is IQ8) that has been in place for over 8 years, and I have
experienced no RFI on the ham bands. I have since referred several other
hams to the company that did my installation, the most recent of which was
about 6 months ago, and they have had the same experience. I would highly
recommend using Enphase microinverters in any solar system where RFI might
be a concern.
That said, it's also important to have a solar installer that is willing to
work with you to ensure the system will not generate RFI once installed.
I've heard horror stories from hams who had a solar system installed
that did produce RFI, and then found that their installer had little to no
interest in fixing the problem once the installation was complete. The
company I worked with was not familiar with RFI concerns when I started to
work with them, but fortunately they were willing to work with me to learn
about it up front. It probably didn't hurt that I told them I'd be happy
to refer other local hams to them if they could install a system that met
my requirements and, as mentioned, I have lived up to that offer.

Subject: [RFI] Solar System Inverters
I am very cautiously considering the installation of a solar power system,
but am very much aware of the potential RFI problem that this could cause.
The following inverter manufacturers have been proposed as possibilities:
1. Solaredge
2. Emphase
3. G4E4
I would appreciate receiving comments about these inverters, and any others
that have been found to be suitable (for a ham radio environment).

Dear Riki,
It might be useful to refine your question a bit. Are you interested in
string inverters, microinverters, or power optimizers? Are you mostly
concerned about HF or VHF RFI?
Best regards,
Michael, W9IP

ARRL has worked with SolarEdge for several years. However, they are still
installing "old designs" which are highly RFI prone. I can't speak for the
others.
