Along that line, my old Standard C168A 2m HT can receive AM in any frequency
in the radio's range of 100-174 MHz, and combined with the "7 db for 7
bucks" 3-element 2m beam... maybe Rick's equivalent setup is better than
using just an AM receiver with a ferrite stick.   ?
