Just realized that there is something wrong in my previous post:
The Russian Stube is the Svetlana 4CX800A (also called GU74b - used for example 
in the Alpha 99), which is a tetrode; the 3CX800 is a triode from Eimac which 
is also very good (used for example in Ten-Tec Titan), but more expensive...
