I've been reading the FCC's mind-numbing Report and Order regarding the new rules for 60 meters which go into effect March 5. There is quite a bit in there about digital modes, mostly PSK and Pactor. It appears that they are re-defining RTTY to actually be PSK, which is rather bizarre. It's not clear to me whether traditional 170 hZ shift Baudot is allowed at all. The ARRL website isn't much help. Anyone have comments on the situation? 73, Bill W6WRT _______________________________________________ RTTY mailing list RTTY@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/rtty |
