Congratulations Shelby. I received #96 in 1995. This means there have been only
169 of these awards given out in the last 22 years. That averages to only 7.7
awards per year. It shows how difficult the award can be.
Nice job.
I didn't know CQ recognized eQSL confirmations for WAZ. I need to look at that
since LoTW has not yet implemented WAZ awards and perhaps they never will. LoTW
does keep track of WPX and that's an award I have not applied for (I did
receive WPNX as a Novice in 1974). According to LoTW, I have over 2840 WPX
mixed with more than 2500 of those on digital. At last calculation, it would
cost me over $300 to apply. I think I'll pass.

Earlier, this week, I received WAZ RTTY certificate #265. I will proudly
display it!
Many thanks to CQ for sponsoring this award, John, KC5LK, award manager,
for his diligent and efficient efforts, and certainly all those that were
"on the air", and worked me. Regardless of the varied opinions of eQSL,
their collaboration with the CQ WAZ award program make applying a very
simple process.
Again, thanks to all
