Hi Peter,
I sympathize with your frustration. I have cards in hand for 5BWAS
(mixed-mode) and am slowly working on all RTTY. I try to repond to any direct
QSLs sent within a couple of weeks, and I look at the card carefully enough to
see what's needed. You should not need to include a "tip", an SASE should be
sufficient.
Perhaps a gentle reminder via E-mail to those who owe you QSLs would be
helpful. I do this rarely, but always get a response to my request, and often
a QSL shortly thereafter (thanks WA9ALS).
The tails of the bell curve -- big stations who make tons of QSOs, and little
guys who just want to get on and have a little fun -- probably don't QSL as
well as the majority in the middle.
