And I've had allot of success in RTTY contests since 2003 using only 100
watts. At the time I was using a 300 foot long square horizontal loop with
each corner 35 feet above ground level.

I drive an AL-80B with an Icom IC-7600. It easily does 800 watts in the RTTY
mode but it's only rated for 500 watts.
I only run 400 watts in RTTY contests and can work everything that I can
hear.
