What makes you say that?
There is no special DXCC category for PSK31 either. RTTY and PSK31 are both
classified as digital modes and neither of them is worth more than the other.
Unless you are using a mechanical teletypewriter and an RTTY TU, operating RTTY
today requires exactly the same skill set as operating PSK31 or Hellschreiber.
I'll bet that the RTTY software which you use even handles the RTTY LTRS/FIGS
shifting for you.
For the RTTY purist, the Mainline TT/L-2 article and schematics can be found in
the May and June 1969 issues of QST. You don't even have to learn how the
newfangled transistors work -- the TT/L uses tubes.
